چکیده

Hematopoietic stem cell transplantation is an established curative treatment for a number of conditions including malignant hematologic diseases and non-malignant congenital acquired disorders involving the hematopoietic system some types solid tumors, e.g. germ tumors soft tissue sarcomas. Hodgkin’s disease non-Hodgkin lymphomas can be treated and, in large cases cured, by first-line chemotherapy or radiotherapy. Unlike many other malignancies, relapse not uniformly fatal but usually markedly myelotoxic with high doses (HDC) used relapse. reconstitution either autologous marrow peripheral cells post-chemotherapy has made HDC relatively safe, mortality rates as low 2% centers. The choice conditiong regimen traditionally been based on institutional experience, several regimens are considered standard routinely patients all histologies lymphoma. Each associated its own unique toxicities, individual agents modalities used. Novel targeted immunotherapy approaches, chimeric antigen receptor T-cell therapy, currently being studied clinical trials promising early results, so role could changed. current indications followed management bad prognosis (as consolidation therapy) relapsed/refractory reviewed this paper.

Autologous Stem Cell Transplantation for Aggressive Lymphomas

The role of high-dose therapy (HDT) followed by autologous stem cell transplantation (ASCT) in the treatment armamentarium of aggressive B- and T-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) is still a matter of debate. In the pre-Rituximab era, the PARMA study demonstrated the superiority of HDT/ASCT over conventional salvage chemotherapy in chemosensitive, relapsed patients. Subsequently, HDT/ASCT has bec...

Autologous stem cell transplantation for T-cell lymphomas.

Peripheral T-cell lymphomas (PTCLs) are a rare and heterogeneous group of T-cell malignancies characterized by a very poor outcome. The optimal treatment for PTCLs remains controversial. The role of stem cell transplantation in PTCLs has been investigated; however, no randomized control studies specifically dedicated to PTCLs are currently available. Several retrospective and prospective studie...

Hodgkin’s Lymphoma Occurring Secondary to Autologous Stem Cell Transplantation in Plasma Cell Leukemia; A Case Report

Survival of patients with multiple myeloma has improved substantially because of availability of new therapies including autotransplants, immunomodulating drugs and proteasome-inhibitors. Second primary cancers have emerged as an important determinant of morbidity and mortality among cancer survivors. Even though there is an increased risk of new cancers of the lymphoreticular and haematopoetic...

Impact of Autologous and Allogeneic Stem Cell Transplantation in Peripheral T-Cell Lymphomas

Peripheral T/NK-cell lymphomas (PTCLs) are rare malignancies characterized by poor prognosis. So far, no standard therapy has been established, due to the lack of randomised studies. High-dose therapy and autologous stem cell transplantation (HDT-autoSCT) have shown good feasibility with low toxicity in retrospective studies. In relapsing and refractory PTCL several comparison analyses suggest ...

Oral Ciprofloxacin Prophylaxis in Patients Undergoing High Dose Therapy and Autologous Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation

Background: Antibiotic prophylaxis is usually used in allogenic stem cell transplantation, but its use in Autologous Stem Cell Transplantation (ASCT) is controversial. We evaluated the efficacy of ciprofloxacin prophylaxis in ASCT. Materials and Methods: To identify the efficacy of ciprofloxacin on the incidence of neutropenic fever and its complications, 72 patients had been admitted to Talegh...
